WHY HE CHOSE COVENTRY
It's a club with massive ambitions and I got that after speaking with Dean the
head coach and Doug King .
"I bought into this project, purely because of the ambition and where I see this club going. It's a team on the rise and I'm happy to be part of this project.
WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF A FAN VILLAGE PLUS EXTENDED OPENING OF THE CONCOURSE THIS SEASON ALLOWS YOU MORE TIME TO ENJOY THE ATMOSPHERE BEFORE AND AFTER THE GAME THIS IS AN IDEAL PLACE TO JOIN THE ASSOCIATION AFTERALL IT'S COMPLETELY FREE TO JOIN

One of our wheel chair platforms is a long standing steward Terry. I say steward, but he's a bit more than that. He's been at the club for nearly 30 years now.
in that time he has worked in numerous rolls, from turnstiles to manager, even groundsman at one stage. Terry is one of our very own unsung heroes, he works on one of the platforms

in that time he has worked in numerous rolls, from turnstiles to manager, even groundsman at one stage. Terry is one of our very own unsung heroes, he works on one of the platforms on a regular basis, so he knows the platform users personally this not only helps on the match day experience that ours fans have, it gives the fans confidence that he is there if they need assistance . Terry is proud to be able to help at any time but he's a bit more than a steward he's part of the Coventry City Family Thank you Terry

" Being able to participate alongside fellow fans has a positive impact on a persons wellbeing. The power of sport should never be underestimated and having good access & inclusion is more than just attending a game - it is the right thing to do" ( Tony Taylor Chair level playing field)

There has been some great work within the community across our disability sessions. These sessions are designed to provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in sports, fostering a sense of belonging, enhancing physical and mental well-being, and celebrating the unique strengths of every participant. It allows them to gain confidence and build friendships, by breaking down societal barriers and providing them with a platform where everyone, regardless of ability, can enjoy and benefit from the beautiful game. We offer tailored sessions, which ensures every participant receives the right level of support and challenge to thrive.
Over the week Sky Blues in the Community deliver four sessions across the city covering all ages from four to adults, with sessions varying from pan disability to specific down syndrome sessions. These sessions are adapted to meet the needs of children and adults with physical and learning disabilities. They focus on skill development, teamwork, and most importantly, fun.
Our dedicated coaches and volunteers play a pivotal role in the success of these programmes. Trained in disability awareness and inclusive coaching techniques, they ensure that each session is safe, enjoyable, and enriching for all involved.
We like to think we have something accessible for everyone.
The benefit of our disability offer is adults and children can enjoy sport and develop their skills and confidence in a fun and relaxed environment. We at Sky Blues in the Community are fully committed to promoting a safe and enjoyable environment for all our participants across our disability programmes.
Our disability programmes, allows children who often get over- looked in the competitive sporting community a feeling of belonging. Not only do we offer opportunity to children across the city, but also respite to parents of SEND children who provide 24-hour support to their loved ones. Parents feel at ease when dropping their children off at a session – knowing that they are in professional, compassionate, and trustworthy hands.
We also run an adult inclusion football league in partnership with the Birmingham FA, which runs once a month on the last Sunday. At our first league meeting, we had twenty-three participants across three teams participate in a friendly 6v6 style tournament, with some good competitions and great skills on show. of Coventry City Football Club providing Sport, Health, Inclusion for all.

The association organises tribute dinners, golf days and events to bring together the members. Other events such as informal fans forums and reunions are organised to enable the club’s supporters to meet and honour the members. Many of these events are run in conjunction with the football club.
